Occupational Therapist

These professionals frequently aid patients who can’t walk, are very ill, or have severe injuries with daily tasks. They often assist patients in relearning and developing the abilities necessary to live and work independently. Occupational therapists fulfill the following duties: Examine patients, create treatment plans, help with activities and exercises, and recommend improvements. Most occupational therapists work in close collaboration with patients’ families and caregivers, particularly when aiding children or geriatric patients.
The Nova Scotia community college offers the course.
