Family Practice Nurse (FPN)

Family practice nurses are usually a RN who practice within the primary health care settings. They provide a broad range of health services, including preventative health promotion and screening (e.g. well-baby assessments, immunizations and cervical screening), health education (e.g. healthy living, disease self-management, behavior change), healthcare management (e.g. management (extension), therapeutic interventions (e.g. wound care, injections), and coordination of care with community partners.
